Happy really is one of the most appropriately-named stores we've ever visited—filled with stuff that's both whimsical and functional, and many things that smell nice, it's a definite mood-lifter. On Friday, they debuted a new little art exhibit, Plenty at Happy, that featured teeny, tiny works from about 58 local artists. Mainly paintings, but there were a few ceramic and mixed-media pieces, too. Everything was priced at $100, providing a thrifty and tempting entrée into the word of collecting (or an amazing gift). The show runs through January 24; at the rate that things were selling on Friday, you shouldn't wait around, or there will be nothing left for you to buy. Which wouldn't be very happy at all.
