Friday Fun & Friends in the Los Feliz Art and Design District

Thanks to all for coming out on Friday for Happy's Summer Scoops Sale! Tai Kim of Scoops generously donated peach/red wine sorbet and raspberry/balsamic ice cream for everyone to enjoy while checking out Happy's goods and art by Jim Gentry and Leia Jervert. The ice cream was flying and smiles were abound.

If you've not seen Jim Gentry's spider, you can still catch it and his other animal/insect menagerie on view in Happy's main space until August 30!

This week's art thing:

Catch Carlos Ulloa (with Eder Cetina) this Thursday, August 13 during their infamous ARTstrike. Carlos and Eder will do their one night, unofficial, unsanctioned, unexpected and underhanded art exhibition on wheels, infiltrating the Downtown Art Walk. Carlos and Eder's work will on view on the corner of 4th and Maine, from 6-11pm. Look for a big truck and enter from behind.

Carlos' dynamic work will also be seen at Happy in 2010. In the meantime, do make it to 4th and Maine and say hi to Carlos and Eder.
